YOUTH ENTERPRISE

Imagine a group of teenagers huddled together in a coffee shop, brainstorming the next big idea. The room buzzes with excitement as they sketch out their plans, make lists of potential customers and discuss strategies for marketing their new venture.

This isn’t just a scene from a startup hub—this is youth entrepreneurship in action, and it’s transforming the way young people see themselves and the world around them.

Take us on, to help inspire kids, youth and young adults to design and run their own business.

Learning Support

TUTORING

Increasingly, more and more parents are seeking extra support for their kids - of all ages for reading, writing and maths - to the extension of life skills and strategies pertaining to anger management and more.

Learning Support organisations are stretched; waiting lists are extensive and franchising fees hike hourly rates up $80.00/hr. We have the means to offer $40.00/hr with minimal overheads.

Online and face-to-face support is available - 'wherever'! We're not just NZ centric either - we're happy to help beyond our shores too.

KIDZCLUBZ

Since when was a club run by a kid? Since FreshAz Ed brought student agency to life.

Yet, recall the 5 year old 'playing schools', or 'being a hairdresser'? Or visualise an 8 year old boy lining up his first deer? Agency's not new when it comes to kids leading an idea - it's centuries old. But imagine a welding club perhaps - with sideline facilitation enabling kids to craft a club, build a  membership base with subscriptions in the mix.

We equip accordingly, engage experts to energise and inspire future-focused factors enroute.

EXCHANGE STUDENT OFFERS

We've got a 'Fresh Az' approach lined up for Exchange Students - and an invite for home to host! When host families are working full time - little scope exists to take their exchange student far.

With a limited array of organised student tours available, scope to think outside the box is something we've duly milked!

Within this sphere, our 'Fresh Az' approach, weaves in tour guides, packaged deals, weekend get aways, micro-tours, behind-the-scenes adventures and even virtual tourism. Additionally, a Language School's in the mix!

With volunteer service a key request by most exchange students we've met, we'll even broker scope to fulfil this need also.  

ESOL Services

REFUGEE/MIGRANT SERVICES

Since 1997, we've been supporting kids, teens and adults to learn English - as another language. We operate as independently trained experts and have formed a partnership with a company in Singapore - where the role of 'examiner' features. In turn, the adults involved (typically those training to be teachers) score accredited certification from a London based Teaching institute.

We coach students as young as 6 years old to those who are migrants and refugees. Developing an online ESOL school and its curriculum - training the staff and all, for over a decade grounded us firmly within this sector. Teaching internationally began this journey first and for the past 28 years, this focus has never ceased, nor taken a sabbatical. ESOL tutoring is 'big' with us.

Subscribe to our FreshAz Produce services, tips, tricks and treats and in turn, you'll eat organically grown, spray-free, 'dirt to dish' meals. We could even throw in scope to score venison, packages in the mail with seeds, gifts and 'tools of the trade'. A KidzClubz focus is also in the mix. 

Farming

FRESHAZ FARMING LIFESTYLE

Should you be keen to navigate your way through the red health and safety tape, come and experience a tour - in person, or virtually, through one 'rough and rustic', 'no frills', 'keep it real' lifestyling operation.

We've a little farm in the mix, where upon purchase - only one fence was deemed 'a good fence'. Our 18 year old teen has several lease blocks on the go, alongside and all that is grown on the 'lifestyle block' is there to enjoy wandering through. All's a work in progress, but all in the name of 'keeping it real'!

Since 1997, when our founding factor saw 'learning from a distance' - with a class, kick in, so too did partnerships with teachers who are into teaching remotely.

Through a range of contracts, contacts and networks we've formed a community that reaches as far away as the UK, into Mexico, Singapore, Australia and so on. 

​

Staff on the FreshAz team range from tutors to teachers, to instructional designers and administrators, start-up business gurus and various experts in their fields.

​

NETWORKS

When lock-downs kicked in some time ago, FreshAz's WhatsApp factor took huge delight in being part of a 100 fold+ network/group of teachers worldwide... With over 20 years of online teaching experience - it was such the coolest thing to be able to share the gems that really engaged students online...

This teaching group represented a team that 'got it' - a team who were open to 'experience' in their midst and thrived accordingly. We've remained connected - and it's through this, that we have scope to be a truly global enterprise - with skill sets that are just GOLD.

The time has come to take a massive leap of faith! We're going to pull off something recommended by a number of adults - who've seen this in action. 

​

For years, a 'work to earn' financial literacy programme has run alongside 38 years with kids. They score tokens as 'money' to place in their money box and a bank book that keeps track of deposits, withdrawals, savings, donations and investments.

On a regular basis this has them adding and subtracting, even 'buying' (albeit vouchers). It's offline (leaving the online tools of others for the stage 2 fun). Teachers however, have access to the online sphere we'll beam from.

A real kit of goodies is what'll be available for purchase. We anticipate the value will be roughly $150.00 per classroom.

CONTRACTUAL PARTNERSHIPS

In a world where who know who is rife, FreshAz Education's enjoyed years and years working in the contract sector both nationally and globally - largely shoulder tapped. 

​

The backstories leading up to that point involved being chosen by Cognition Education to be on the founding team for a brand new school 'state of the art' school in Brunei. Who know who - saw our next move head into R&D mode with the MoE in NZ, project management with Core Education and a wealth of contractual partnerships alongside Ethos Consultancy, with the now, sadly late: Hazel Owen.

While being a 'regular class teacher, without scope for leadership roles in a school - it's in R&D mode - alongside several FreshAz portfolios that remain in operation. Ensuring our 'talk the talk' is ground in 'walking the talk' - all aims to keep sharp - reading to take on new contract work at almost any time.​​​

NEUROSCIENCE

At the core of everything we do, is the rather out-there obsessions to neuroscience and the latest in research around it.

Neuroplasticity: we help strenghtn synaptic connections in brain development.

​

Cognitive Load Optimisation: this is seriously tough with the new curriculum - particularly with Y4-8 BSLA! Yet - structuring what's presented to suit the working memory means we definitely go off script!

​

Emotional Gatekeeping! Positive reinforcement for the amygdala - is critical.

​

Multisensory integration: the current 7-9 year old class are highly wired to 'having a good sleep' and the term 'neuron' -just how they've 'connected a bunch of them' is all aimed at deepening memory retention. 

We teach with a scientific purpose. It's fun!
